Ms. Braniff has been dedicated to the pursuit of law since witnessing its effects firsthand as a child. Her early experiences turned her frustrations into a passion for helping others, propelling her into a career where she could make a real difference. After finishing her Bachelor of Business at University, she dedicated her free time to assisting family law clients at the University of Newcastle Legal Centre and was nominated by her peers as ‘Best Mediator’ in 2021.
Ms. Braniff finished law school in Australia with a Bachelor of Laws (Honors Division II), and a Diploma of Legal Practice. She subsequently began practicing family law as an attorney in New South Wales upon being admitted in the Supreme Court of Australia, after already having several years of experience as a family law paralegal.
She employed her highly empathetic and logical traits to create positive outcomes for various complex matters, including for custody disputes, for victims of domestic violence, spousal maintenance cases, and in tricky financial disputes involving assets up to $15 million. Her confidence in adapting to the unknown was showcased when she successfully negotiated a settlement in favor of her client in a matter that had been through the Family Court system for over three years, just a month after being admitted to practice law. This success reinforced her passion for helping people and confirmed her enjoyment in advocating in court and negotiating positive outcomes through alternative dispute resolution, mediation, or conciliation conferences.
Upon moving to California in 2025, Ms. Braniff is preparing to undertake a Master of Laws (L.L.M) and the California Bar Exam in 2026 and assists in all matters as our Senior Paralegal.
